According to the legends, since the forefathers settled here, a flourishing population emerged, soon increasing to 1300 households. Over time 700 of the households moved to Maogong, 200 to Ladong, 100 to Luoda, and the others remained at Dimen as the root of the 1300 households. In order to commemorate the village as the place of origin, Dong people named it Dimen. Nowadays, people of Dimen live in 5 tribes.These tribes are respectively called Zaiyin, Demian, Lamo, Zaimu and Lawei. There were 4 drum towers and 3 roofed bridges at Dimen.The drum tower of the Lamo tribe is regarded as the root of all 1300 households. |
